ICOSTURK 2016, Barcelona
The first International Conference on Studies in Turkology was announced for Barcelona, 23-25 August 2016.
The announcement described a meeting sponsored by "some universities and associations" and meant to bring together researchers and practitioners who share an interest in Turkic studies. Papers went through a review before being accepted for oral or poster presentation, and the working languages were English and Turkish.
The schedule changed while the call was open. The home page first said 22-24 August, while the dates page and later announcements used 23-25 August, which is the version kept here. An announcement on the keynote page later pushed the abstract deadline to 15 July and the full-paper deadline to 15 September, with registration still due by 20 July.
